    Hey Teresa,

    Thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering. With a crack, and not a hole; should I grind the crack open slightly so that I can make applying the VSR into the crack that much easier, and it would be a thicker portion of VSR actually fills the crack? I am definitely going to go with your advice for sanding. I have talked to Ryan Dohl (From Red Deer) and he has mentioned we usually can use the same SEM Product we use for the vinyl windows and us it on vinyl showers as well. I will try it out and see.

    Thank you again for your advice.

    Hope things are going well in Joplin.

    Awesome;

    Thank you for your advice. I will definitely look into the “30 second outdoor cleaner”. I am not sure if they sell in Canada, but I will search for it, and try it out on a few decks.

    Thanks again for all of your ideas. They have helped me out a lot.

    Hi,

    I am assuming the decking is about 10-15 years. Yes plywood underneath. Some of them have a bit of dry rot, so it is a bit soft. I didn’t charge enough to replace the rot, then would just like it sealed back into place and looking better than the pictures. Yes I am hoping I can use a heat gun and some deck sealant to shape and mould the seams back down. I was then thinking of adding a bit of the VSR so that it stays solid and just doing a quick touch up paint job to blend it in. I am hoping this type of repair will last a little while until they decide to replace the decks. Thank you for your input. I really do appreciate it.

    Awesome.

    Has anyone tried the Wax Flooring repair kits from Homedepot? Are they any good? is it worth trying?

    I found with the VSRM, I was able to fill in the hole fairly well, but it also filled in some of the other groves around the scratched area. It also was difficult to sand, since you cannot sand too much or else you start taking out the groves in the laminate. dyeing was also difficult due to the numerous colours in the flooring.

    I hope there is a demonstration at the convention. It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
