Franchisee Testimonial

I was previously an owner/operator of a 10-minute Texaco Havoline oil change facility. While working at the lube one day, I saw this van across the street that said "Plastic Surgery and Other Cosmetic Operations." Of course, I had to check this out. I thought they might have had someone in the van giving them an enhancement to their body. Come to find out, it was Tony Barnett and his crew from Dr. Vinyl of Middle Tennessee working on a few cars. I had been looking for a new business, hoping that it would get me and my family back to our hometown of Cookeville, TN. And I thought this just might be the ticket.

I then started asking Tony a billion questions about what he was doing. He was super helpful and called the corporate office and asked them to send me a packet of information. Tom Buckley (company president) and Doug Rivera (training director) then started calling me, answering any and all questions that I might have had. I was so excited. I think my family thought I was crazy and sometimes I thought I was too. I was leaving a successful business to start one that I had no idea about, but I had to get my family back home.

Six months later, I was in a cargo van headed for Kansas City, MO. I remember turning around, looking back into the empty van while driving and thinking, "What in the world have I done?" I am back in my hometown and I feel like I am in a dream world. My friends say that I don't work anymore because I come home some days at 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. The Lord has richly blessed us through Dr. Vinyl and all of their Associates.

I can't say enough about the people who work with and for Dr. Vinyl. They all go out of their way to help when they are needed. I have to brag on a few in particular; the training department that is always there when I have a question. Buster, Brient, and the whole parts department for getting our products out in a timely fashion, and Doug for getting the ball rolling the first week and giving me confidence and the urge to strive for perfection.

The Lord has also blessed me with a great franchise neighbor in Tony Barnett. He has driven many miles several times to help me get started in the commercial area of Dr. Vinyl. He is currently making slip covers for me and gives me advice when I need it. He is truly an asset.

Dr. Vinyl has been a wonderful franchise and I hope it just keeps getting better and better.

Sincerely,
Chris Hawkins
